Kyoto, Tojji Temple This is the family of cats. We stood and watched them for awhile and they had a few fights! Posted by Picasa
Kyoto, Tojji Temple At the entrance to the temple was a family of cats. People were patting this white cat who seemed the friendliest. Posted by Picasa
Kyoto, Tojji Temple. This temple was pretty amazing you can't go into it but it's very tall. Posted by Picasa
Kyoto, Nijjo Castle This is looking down on the castles from a lookout. We went into the castle that you can see and went upstairs it was freezing I don't know how people would of coped living in it. Posted by Picasa
Kyoto, Nijjo Castle. The grounds of the castle were pretty cool with the big pond and waterfall. Posted by Picasa
Kyoto, Nijjo Castle. It was freezing the day we went to the castle but it was one of my favourite days. The castle was amazing I especially liked the nightingale floors that squeaked to warn intruders. We weren't allowed to take photo's of the artwork on the walls inside but it was amazing that most of it had been preserved. This photo is the outside of one of the castles. Posted by Picasa
This is a really blurry picture and I wanted to take it home but thought I better not. It's got this picture of a squirrel with a plastic bag over its head and it shows steps how to put a plastic bag over your head. I thought it was weird but pratty worked out that if there was a fire then you would get as much fresh air as you could in the bag and then get to the quickest exit.  Posted by Picasa
The full range of beverages in the veding machine. I didn't try the can of peanuts but it looked pretty cool. This was only cold drinks. The hot drinks machines were really cool out would come this hot coffee in a can! I also took a liking to grape fanta although it was really sweet... Posted by Picasa
This was one of the vending machines in our hotel room. Pratty liked the slogan for the beer 'brewed for good times'. Posted by Picasa
Gion, Kyoto. This was the view from the highest point where we walked to. Posted by Picasa
Gion, Kyoto. Another temple further up the walk.  Posted by Picasa
Gion, Kyoto. At the top of the park was the water temple. It looked really impressive in the night time. We did a walk at dusk around some tracks but it was freeeezing. Posted by Picasa
Gion, Kyoto. Pretty little streets lined with tourist shops. I read that it's 10 years bad luck if you trip on the stairs so I was very careful. I loved looking at all the lucky cats in the shop windows.  Posted by Picasa
Gion park, a big buddha. It was amazing to see this massive statue with forests behind. Posted by Picasa
Kyoto, Gion. This park was not far from where our hotel was. Apart from Nijo Castle I think this was my favourite. Posted by Picasa

We caught the fast train to Kyoto. This is looking out the window at a mountain. The train took about 2hrs to get from Tokyo to Kyoto. Posted by Picasa

We went to Harijuku as I wanted to go to Kiddyland which is a massive toy store that goes up 5 levels and also to see the Harjuku girls. I didn't really know what to expect as I thought they would kind of dress in pirate shirts and high platforms like Gwen Stefani.... but really they are goths. They all hang out by this bridge near a park. Posted by Picasa
Here is yoshi, chico and her parents who took us to an Italian restaurant. We celebrated Yoshie's b'day! ;) Posted by Picasa
The rainbow bridge. You travel across this on the train to get to Odaiba.  Posted by Picasa
